Ashanti’s full name is Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas. She was born on 13th October 1980 in Glen Cove, New York, United States. Her father’s name is Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas and her mother’s name is Tina Douglas. Her younger sister’s name is Kenashia Douglas.

Ashanti Started her career as a Singer. She later Penned lyrics and rendered her voice for many songs such as The Fast and the Furious soundtrack, Justify My Love, and Always on Time. She debuted her acting career as a lead actress in the television series with the series named Disneyland telecasted in the year 1989. Ashanti started her acting career as a supporting actress in the Hollywood Industry with the movie named Malcolm X released in the year 1992.
