Egypt Sherrod was born on 16th November 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As she grew up in her grandparents’ house and slept in a closet that only fit her bed as a child she dreamed and told herself that one day she’ll have her own closet that was bigger than her bedroom.

Egypt Sherrod got her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting & Telecommunications from Temple University. She also studied theater at the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Egypt Sherod married the popular television personality Mike Jackson. Egypt first met her husband, Mike Jackson at a New York City event. Egypt Sherrod started hosting a jazz station at the age of 18. When she was at her nineteen she got a job as a radio station music director-who is the youngest of them all in that designation. As she grew up with her father and uncle who were real estate brokers she is used to having the entire idea of how real estate can work in such a way to earn retirement money & as a fallback to her career in radio.
She bought her first home when she was twenty-four years old. A lot of her profits were going to fees for her real estate agents and so she became a licensed agent in 2002. She was a correspondent on the Maury show. She then realized she had gone to womanhood when she began to take responsibility for her own actions and was not afraid of apologizing, and also got the okay to start over things again and was 100% comfort filled in her own skin.
Egypt states she learned the importance of humility and being well-rounded as a person and not at all one-dimensional. She was the first number in her role of being a radio personality for New York City’s WBLS 107.5 and this was where she interviewed Tyler Perry, Oprah, and Prince. She stood to her ground through all her ups & downs and was still going.
