Early Life
Adlon was born in Los Angeles and, thanks to her father, is a citizen of both the United States and Germany. She is the eldest child of Pamela Adlon, an actress, and Felix O. Adlon, a director. Actresses Odessa A’zion and Valentine “Rocky” Adlon are her younger sisters.
Her maternal grandfather was the American author-producer Don Segall, and her paternal grandfather is the German director Percy Adlon. Her English-born maternal grandmother, an Anglican at first, converted to Judaism, and her paternal grandfather was born into a Jewish family. She is descended from German hotelier Lorenz Adlon through her father. Adlon spent a year at Columbia College Chicago studying photography before deciding to focus solely on acting.

Career
In an episode of the FX comedy-drama series Louie from 2011 that also starred her mother Pamela, Adlon made her acting debut. The following year, she made cameos in the ABC miniseries When We Rise (2017), the CBS crime drama series Criminal Minds (2017), the Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World (2016), the FX comedy-drama Better Things (2016), the ABC anthology crime drama series American Crime, and the CBS crime drama series Criminal Minds (2017).
Adlon gained additional recognition for her debut lead performance in the 2018 sex comedy Blockers, which was well-received and a financial success. She later appeared as the lead in the highly regarded drama movie The Mustang (2019).
Adlon played the lead character of Becca Gelb in the Netflix mystery adolescent drama series The Society in 2019. The show had previously been renewed for a second season, but was ultimately cancelled because of the COVID-19 epidemic, which increased production costs and made scheduling problematic. The Craft: Legacy, a horror sequel starring Adlon, was released on October 28, 2020. Adlon played Frankie in the movie. She played Claire in the horror fantasy movie Witch Hunt in 2021.
