Joanna Gain was born in Kansas and grew up in Texas. Her parents were from different ethnicities. Her father was half German and half Lebanese whereas her mother was Korean. As for her education, she graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s in Communications.
Joanna met her future partner her soul mate Chip with whom she shared similar construction and design interests and they started their own show named Fixed Upper in the year of 2013. She made an announcement that she was leaving the show in the year 2017.
She and her husband have their own construction/design company called Magnolia Homes. They owned, Magnolia Market, a discount store, and also Magnolia Table, a breakfast restaurant that also sells lunch and dinner.
