He was born on 28th Dec 1937 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India. Ratan Tata is an alumnus of the Cornell University College of Architecture & Harvard Business School. He has done his studies at Harvard Business school via the Advanced Management Program that he completed in 1975.
He joined his company in the year of 1961 & during that time he worked on the shop floor of Tata Steel and has become the successor of the company after J.R.D. Tata retired in 1991.
