Ruskin Bond is an actor and writer who is 88 years of age as of the year 2022. He was born on 19th May 1934 and was born in Kasauli, Punjab, India. He is well-known for his works such as Junoon in the year 1979, Blue Umbrella in the year 2005 and 7 Khoon Maaf in the year of 2011. Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent. His father was an officer in the Royal Air Force, otherwise RAF post in India.
He got his education at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. His very first novel for him was a John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in the year 1957. He was also awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in the year of 1992 for the novel of his named Our Trees Still Grow in the Dehra, in English.

Ruskin Bond, the British author, was born to Edith Clarke and Aubrey Alexander Bond. Ruskin’s father has taught English to the princesses of Jamnagar palace. Ruskin and his sister Ellen lived there in that palace till he was a six-year-old child.

His father later of which joined the Royal Air Force in the year of 1939 whereas his mother and his sister lived at their maternal home at Dehradun. He went to his father in New Delhi where his father was posted.
He loved his father and he sometimes has stated that he had the happiest of his times which were the times with his father. As for his schooling, he completed schooling in Bishop Cotton School, Shimla and got graduated from there in 1950.
Bond has also won quite a number of writing competitions which include, the Irwin Divinity Prize and the Hailey Literature Prize. He wrote his first short story when he was sixteen in the year 1951 which is Untouchable.
